Fold It, Wrap It, Coil It!
Explore our trails, searching for inspiration to fold from paper the creatures you can find: frogs, butterflies, flowers, birds and more, using the Japanese art form Origami! Learn the origins of the art form and the true story of Sadaku, a young Japanese girl. You will also make awesome nature-inspired clay forms using innovative slab and coil techniques combined with found objects from nature. Press flowers, branches, leaves, acorns, etc. into a rolled slab of clay. Make and paint a pinch or coil pot using traditional methods of score and slip attachment.
Muggles and the Geocachers!
Campers explore the world of geocaching from the ground up! Learn how to use a GPS unit and go on CraftWorks own Percy Jackson Course. Working individually and in teams create a design for a new geocaching course based on a Harry Potter theme from your observations and experience for the whole community to enjoy.
