Information & Policies

Please read all of the entries on this page. On the registration form you will be asked to confirm that you’ve read this page.

Registration. At CraftWorks, we keep class sizes small, typically between 6 and 10 students, so that every student gets attention from our teaching artists. We encourage you to register as early as possible for your class to reserve your space.

Deposits. You are not officially registered for a class until you submit your payment and registration form.

Tuition. The tuition for each class is listed with the class descriptions on this site. Tuition rates are based on the duration of the class, and do not include meals or class materials fees.

Lodging.   See a listing of nearby lodging for information on where to stay. CraftWorks is not necessarily recommending these facilities, merely providing a listing for your convenience.

Meals. Unless otherwise noted on the class description, CraftWorks does not serve meals. We have morning coffee and tea and other beverages available, a fridge for storing lunches, and a microwave for use by our students. When you register for a class, be sure to note whether lunch or a snack is provided.

Materials Fees & Supplies. The cost of supplies and materials used in classes is NOT included in the tuition. You are required to bring the materials fee to the first meeting of the class. Please bring a check payable to your teaching artist or cash. Our teaching artists supply the materials for their classes and keep the costs as low as possible. The materials fee sometimes includes the a modest charge by the teaching artist to assemble the materials.

Cancellations. All cancellations must be in writing by mail or email. If cancellation is made 30 days or more before the first date of class, a full refund will be made, minus a $25 cancellation fee. In order for CraftWorks to meet its obligations to teaching artists, there will be no refunds for cancellations less than 30 days before the scheduled date of a class.

There is no return or pro-rating of fees for early departure from or late arrival to a workshop, regardless of the cause of departure.

If CraftWorks must cancel a course for any reason, all registered students will be called and offered the option of a credit toward another CraftWorks class or a full refund.

Please give us a call if your plans change and you will not be attending your class, or if you will be late for registration.

Age Requirements. Students must be at least 18 years of age to register, except for in special classes developed for younger people. However, the walking paths are open to CraftWorks members and guests of all ages.
